Kim Davis - SECRETARY
Kim Davis is president of KIM&COMPANY Communications, an award-winning communications firm with more than 30 years experience in media beginning with broadcast communications and incorporating public relations, media relations, governmental relations, digital marketing, website strategy, design and development social media, marketing research, event planning, focus group management and video production.
Kim Davis, a native of Tuskegee, is founder and president of KCC based in Montgomery, AL. Ms. Davis’s experience also includes the (former) Executive Director Friends of Tuskegee Airmen National Historic Site. One of the accomplishments during her involvement was rebranding the organization, creating a new logo and website.
Ms. Davis recently participated in the T-100 jet trainer initiative creating awareness of, interest in and support for the $300 million project at the national, regional, state and local levels. She was a part of the creation of the theme “Count Me In” and developed the campaign that included interviews and stories of the famous Tuskegee Airmen and/or their family members and friends as well as initiating the new Tuskegee Airmen Next GEN series that spotlighted the next generation of Tuskegee Airmen and women pilots.
Ms. Davis also participated in another historic event, the national 50th anniversary of the Selma to Montgomery 1965 Voting Rights Act. Her PR campaign won the coveted Telly Award for Outstanding Historic Production in television, a production written and produced by KIMANDCOMPANY.
Ms. Davis has also enjoyed a decade-long governmental affairs career. She was one of the first African American female lobbyist in Alabama as well as the first African American broadcast news anchor at WSFA TV in Montgomery, AL.
Ms. Davis is an avid golfer. Kim knows and believes that had she learned golf at an early age, “I’d be enjoying an LPGA Hall of Fame career.” She is past president of an African American female golf league, the first of its kind in Montgomery and in Alabama. She is a charter member.
