Bravery: We salute the bravery of America’s first Negro military airmen and women who trained at Moton Field in Tuskegee as students at Tuskegee Institute (University) in the 1940s. These young pilots and thousands of support personnel began a historic journey that changed the world, America, the American military and the dreams of now next generation of pilots who aspire to be like the Tuskegee Airmen.

HANGAR 1 - HANGAR 2 - SKYWAY CLUB
Hangar 1 provides a perspective of what Primary Training at Moton Field was like with a Stearman bi-plane and J-3 Piper Cub on display. Hangar 2 gives a perspective of the Airmen after deployment overseas. A P-51 Mustang, the spectacular WWII fighter aircraft flown by the famous Tuskegee Airmen “Red Tails”, is suspended from the ceiling in Hangar 2. The Skyway Club is where Airmen socialized and were visited by many famous entertainers from that era.
