What Is Moton Field?

Moton Field Has a Unique History

Moton field is the home of the Friends of Tuskegee Airmen National Historic Site. We're a special organization who works alongside the National Park Service in an effort to preserve the tremendous legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen along with the National Historic Site Museum located at Moton field. The Tuskegee Airmen trained at this particular site before going into battle.

You'll Be Able to See the Airport

The Moton Field municipal airport is right across from the historic site with a 5000 foot runway. You'll see small aircraft and private jets at this location as it is a public-use airport. The location of this runway is approximately 3.5 nautical miles (5.6 km) due north of Tuskegee central business district, which is a city in Macon County, Alabama. The city of Tuskegee owns this airport.
